SugarBot Sweet Shop is adding additional Bakery Assistants to the team!
What’s a bakery assistant?
Our Bakery Assistants cover a few areas in the storefront. Primarily, Bakery Assistants help the Bakery Manager with preparing and baking regular menu items for the shop (scooping cookies, pressing out crusts and doughs, cutting tray bakes to size, etc) and packaging items for storage to maintain freshness both in store and for wholesale clients.
Bakery Assistants also help with general cleaning tasks, including: sweeping, mopping, washing dishes, and cleaning windows/cases.

It’s all about the attitude! We are looking for folks with a desire to learn and grow within their position. Above all, we’re looking for positive, friendly, accepting, and kind individuals.
What does a Bakery Assistant’s schedule look like?
We have full and part time Bakery Assistants.
Full time candidates typically work between 10am & 6pm Tuesday through Saturday. Part time assistants should work between 10am & 4pm Wednesday through Saturday. Weekend shifts are varied, with occasional weekends off. Extra hours will be possible during busy times such as wedding season (late summer / early fall) and Christmas.

Wages begin at $10.30/hr for inexperienced candidates, though higher rates are available for those with experience in commercial kitchens. Additionally, we offer paid time off and health insurance benefits for full time employees.
What other things qualify a bakery assistant?
• Excellent attention to detail and high standards of quality
• A friendly, welcoming attitude and appearance
• Ability to follow instructions accurately and precisely, while working in a timely manner
• Ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize tasks
• Timely and dependable
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to stand for 6-8 hours at a time
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Ability to work additional hours during busy seasons (typically 2 Saturdays per month)
• Ability to provide proof of current Hepatitis Vaccination & COVID Vaccination
• Legally able to work in the US
• We are a smoke free employer

• ServSafe certification
